PROLOGUE

I had always wondered why we were riding horses. It looked ridiculous to me! Those poor beasts obligated to support our weight on their back. Obligated to run as fast as we were ordering them... But that day, I was begging that horse to escape those monsters. I was begging him to run faster. They were coming. They were getting closer. They were angry. They were killers. Killers ready to beat me to death. Killers who were feeling betrayed by my cowardice. I was a coward. I was a real coward. I did not want to stay with them. I wanted to be free. I wanted to lead my own life.

Ordon village, chapter one - Questions

The sun was shinning through the window next to me. I kept my eyes closed, trying to fall asleep again. I felt so tired and sore... I didn't want to get up! There were annoying birds signing loudly outside and it was driving me crazy! I told myself that if I were a bird, honestly, I would let people sleep and I would just fly away... I couldn't find peace again, so I decided to get up. After all, it seemed to be a beautiful day! The weather was warm, the sun was bright... The room in which I was was pink?

Ordon village, chapter two - A Boring Life

Link was a nice guy. He was always smiling and always trying to do everything he could to make me feel comfortable. I didn’t know how my life before was, but I felt like no one had ever been as careful with me... Whatever! I also met Ilia. The girl I had decided not to like. I learnt that I was actually sleeping in her bed, so I took the decision to be nice with her. She was a little annoying sometimes, but I could handle it. I was lying in this bed since three weeks already. The only people I was allowed to see were Uly and Rusl, a nice married couple who was feeding and healing me. It wasn't easy for me to go back to a normal life. I still couldn't believe two years had past since I had defeated... Him. Still, I couldn't get back to my farmer's routine. Of course, I was happy to know that all the people I loved were safe. I also was happy to know our world was back to normal. Though, it was tough. I couldn't forget all the horrible things I had seen. I was haunted by the feeling that it was not done yet. I had the impression that something else was waiting for me. Until three weeks ago, I could barely sleep. But happily, something special happened. Someone special had arrived...

Ordon village, Chapter Four - Who is Cupid?

I had always been very protective with the people I loved. I liked to know they were safe and that nothing could happen to them. When Ilia and the kids had been kidnapped two years ago, my world had become a nightmare. If something had happened to them, I don’t know what I would have done…So when they finally came back in Ordon, I taught them how to defend themselves with a sword and with a bow. I was feeling very proud when I was seeing them improving their skills.

So honestly, I didn’t know why I was feeling so irritated to see Amelia perform so outstandingly at shooting arrows. It was incredible. Almost every shot was gOrdon village, Chapter Four - Who is Cupid? by ~Ste-Rose

The ground was shaking. Noises were rising. Fear was growing. Tears were flowing…

Birds were signing.

Happily. Loudly. Early…
As always.

But, for the first time in six months, I kind of felt happy about it. That morning, birds had torn me out of a terrible nightmare. A nightmare where all hopes and all joy had gone, and were every reason to live had vanished…

But as I told that to myself, I felt over dramatic, and I decided to get up and to forget about it.

Ordon Village, Chapter six - Happy Birthday

I had lived in Ordon almost all my life. Rusl had once told me that I had arrived there when I was just a baby. My mother had arrived in the village with me in her arms. She was dying and she had asked him to take care of me. Since then, he had raised me like his own son. My mother had died too soon to tell him my name or anything about me... Uly and him had just married and they weren’t quite ready to have a child, but they had accepted to take care of me and to love me as their own. Uly was only seventeen years old when she had adopted me… Amelia surely was around that age too... It seemed funny to me to imagine Amelia getting Ordon Village, Chapter six - Happy Birthday by ~Ste-Rose

The Demon Within (p1) [A Legend of Zelda Fanfic]--Links POV--
"Zelda! Don't leave me!"
"This isn't goodbye, Link! I promise!"
"Come back!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAH~!"
"Aah!" I gasped, sitting upright. I had that dream again. That scene echoed in my mind again and again, Zelda's words resounding in my head, that horrid man's laugh haunting me, as did his last words...
"I was too.......soft. Next time we cross, boy, I won't make the same mistake. I will make the affair so excruciating, you will deafen yourself with the sounds of your own screams!"
I shuddered at the thought of what this ruthless man would do to me if given the chance. But I was safe, on Skyloft, in my room. I heard Groose snoring from the next room, and the other knights coming back from their shifts. Sighing, I got out of bed.
Time to go to the surface.

The Demon Within (p2)[Ghirahim's POV]
Red. So much red. That's all I could remember. Or maybe it's all I wanted to remember. I dragged my own dagger across the permanent marking on my face, jerking me back to the harsh reality.
THE. GIRL. GOT. AWAY.
"She escaped with that goddess-serving BITCH!" I shrieked, flinging my sword into the nearby stone wall, where it stuck fast. Sighing, I walked to retrieve it. My need to see blood spill was causing adrenaline to course through me.
I shouted in my native language, calling the bokoblins to my side. The impudent creatures bowed clumsily, awaiting my next orders.
"My next order?......DIE!" I cackled, and before they could even stand up, my sword was impaled through both of their skulls. I relaxed, my bloodlust slightly satisfied.....for now.
Tearing my sword out of their stupid corpses, I trudged into the nearby temple, to rest and collect my thoughts.

The Demon Within (p3)[New character POV]
I was falling......into an endless abyss....memories were flashing by me in a blur....I saw a dirty-blonde haired boy, a baby-faced kid, a blonde, older girl, and a girl wearing glasses, all reaching towards me, their expressions those of pure terror.......all four are shouting...a name?
"Olivia-!"
I.....is that my name? Are they trying to save me..? I can't reach out, the shadows surrounding me are preventing me from moving....
Giving in to the darkness, I slip into unconsciousness......
[Links POV]
"Fi, where should we go next?" I ask my sword-spirit.
"Master, I believe there is a 98% chance of a non-hostile humanoid who may be of help, located in Faron Woods. You may use your dowsing ability to locate them." She replies monotonously. Alright. Finally, a lead. Dropping beneath the clouds, I prepare for what's to come.

A Forgotten Adventure chapter 2“So, how will we find this Sacred Flame?” I asked, rearranging the position of the bow and quiver Link had just got me.
The quiver was quite large and crafted of sturdy leather. It could carry the bow as well, even while strung, which allowed more room for the small pack I now shouldered.
“I’m not sure,” Link confessed. “Before I can even go about finding it, however, Fi said I’ll have to pass a trial of sorts.”
“What exactly is Fi?” I asked. “She comes out from your sword, how is that possible?”

A Forgotten Adventure, chapter 3I opened my eyes. The sun was descending in the sky. Deep shadows covered everything; on one side, they were bathed in orange light, and on the other they were the deepest shades of green and black. I blinked and sat up. Someone had laid me under on the few trees dotting the clearing. My pack had been lain next to me, the bedroll that was held was now unrolled beneath me.
I’m… Alive?
I was contacted as soon as I retained my bearings. Mistress, you’ve awakened.
It was Fi. You can just call me Lorica. I paused. Where is Link?
There was another pause. He is in the Spirit Realm, going through a trial.

A Forgotten AdventurePain rocked my body.
I didn’t know where it came from; it just hurt everywhere. Everything was dark; I wasn’t sure if I was sleeping or simply blind. In fact, I didn’t know anything. My mind was blank, there was only pain.
Suddenly color flashed across my darkness, creating an image.
I beheld a woman with dark shoulder-length hair and blue-green eyes cupping a water lily in her hands. She had a smile on her face, enhancing her already fair features. She looked young, perhaps fourteen, maybe even twelve.
I knew that girl was me.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Once again, there was a chunk of time where absolutely nothing happened. A couple of lessons in fighting, and all that.
Actually, no. Raya taught me about spells, and examined an odd magical aura she had discovered while goofing around with my energies. Out of curiosity, she examined herself, and discovered a similar aura. The only difference was that hers was calmer, gentler and oddly fluid, whereas mine was a raging, angry beast, nearly untamable.

When I woke up, the sun was setting and a campfire was burning close to where I sat. I tried to move my hands close to the fire - they were as cold as if I had been on my laptop all day long - but they were tied together. Crap. I groaned and slumped forward. Not only did I have a splitting headache - probably because I had, in the past few hours, proven reality as I knew it wrong - I also had gotten myself captured in a matter of ten minutes after arriving here in the first place. I lay on my bed, staring at the patterns of light on my ceiling. A glass ornament, in the shape of a rose, hung in front of the window, catching the light in its facets and throwing them about my room haphazardly. I sighed and sat up, my head almost brushing the ceiling - I slept on the top bunk of my bunk bed, it made me feel less... vulnerable. It was the first day of summer vacation, and I was bored out of my mind. I looked around in awe; this wasn't real, it couldn't be. I let out a small squeak and sat down at the entrance, hugging my knees. I gasped and glanced down; I was wearing a leather bodysuit, concealed by a long, black coat. I was also thin and athletic, which, for me, isn't normal. Carrying two glock pistols and two samurai swords was, also, not normal for me. I didn't even know how to load a gun, let alone actually shoot one correctly. Movement in the fields caught my eye, and I saw a familiar figure heading towards the cave.

I waited for an opening, trying to stall until I had the chance.
"Answer me," he said. I jumped, startled out of my thoughts. Then I saw my opening; I ran like a freaking antelope. I heard him yell something, but I was too far away to hear him. I risked a glance and he was catching up to me… fast. Shiz. I decided I wouldn't look back after that.

There I went, sticking my foot in my mouth. Stupidity, thy name is me. Of course, I didn't know my own name, so that didn't stand too well in my own favor.
"Okay, you say you know my name. What is it then?"
"Link. Your name is Link. I can't tell you any more than that," I said quickly, looking from him to the ground. A lie, but I didn't want to get in even deeper doo.
"So you're some kind of seer. Thank you, but we already have one. Lives in a cave, like you apparently."
